(Portland OR 1993 w/ZGF)This was the first study done for a modern streetcar in the US. It was done for the Office of Transportation in the summer of 1993 when Congressman Earl Blumenhaur was Commissioner. A local developer, John Carroll was the Chair of the Central City Streetcar. It was one of the first projects I worked on upon my arrival to Portland in 1991 and was insightful from the standpoint of understanding the importance of a private and public sector that worked together in a seamless manner for common goals and vision.
