Celtic Forest Ltd (or Celtic Coedwig in Welsh) is a company registered in the Welsh capital of Cardiff. Inspired by 3rd generation Master Carpenter and woodsman Nigel Dorington, he identified an oak and larch forest on the site of an ancient Celtic battlefield in West Wales. From humble beginnings, using 300 - 400 year old timber, seasoned after felling for a further 20 years in a Carmarthenshire woodyard, Nigel designed and built the first range of robust and highly durable garden furniture. His roadside stall was well known across southern Wales and the popularity of the furniture with discerning home owners grew so fast that the range was modified and extended to include the tables, coffee tables, benches and chairs as featured in this website. For every tree felled, oak and larch saplings are planted to sustain the forest stocks (and environs) for the future.
