CATAL AN FOR BEGINNERS — JUST ARRIVED 8
Reconocible.

Six steps
Six steps to good reading comprehension
1. Read the title of the text and formulate a hypothesis on the context of the text.2. Read the text once, quickly. You do not need to read the whole text; if you like,
you can read just the first and last paragraphs.3. Read it a second time and identify the general theme and the main ideas.4. Read it a third time and translate the words you know.5. Read it a fourth time and, from the context, work out what the words that you
haven’t been able to translate might mean.6. Use a dictionary to understand the meaning of the words that you haven’t been
able to work out from the context.
Six strategies to avoid feeling blocked
1. Do not read the text word-for-word.2. Do not let yourself be intimidated by obstacles.3. Do not stop.4. Do not give too much attention to the position of words.5. Do not worry if there are details of the grammar that you do not understand.6. Do not consult a dictionary until you have read the text a fourth time.

CATAL AN FOR BEGINNERS — JUST ARRIVED 14
CATAL AN FOR BEGINNERS — JUST ARRIVED 15
CATAL AN FOR BEGINNERS — JUST ARRIVED 16
