HEC-HMS Dargle Model

Data Collection – Dargle catchment

1. The collection of hydro-meteorological data, which started at the early stages of the project, has continued (rainfall, water levels, radar measurements). There have been some minor instrument problems, Figure 1 summarises the available data, to date.

Rating curves for the river Dargle (Ireland case-study) have been improved based on manual flow measurements and automatic (ultrasonic) measurements.

Activities

An ARCGIS-based graphical tool with Graphical User Interface (GUI) has been developed using ArcGIS ArcObjects with Visual Basic for Application in order to allow both visualization, combination and analysis of radar and NWP fields and measured data.
