The mission of the department is to academically prepare children and adults to succeed as productive citizens. The department seeks to ensure that the technical support, resources and opportunities are in place for all students, whether children or adults, to receive a high quality education.
PURPOSEThe Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 encourages CTSOs to be an integral part of career and technical education. This same emphasis is also reinforced in Pennsylvania’s School Law under Chapter 4 and in the Chapter 339 program standards.

The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering. Members apply and integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts through co-curricular activities competitive events and related programs.
The Technology Student Association (TSA) fosters Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education through personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Technology, Innovation, Design, and Engineering (TIDE). Members apply and integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts for the challenges of a dynamic world through co-curricular activities, problem solving, competitive events and related programs resulting in academic development and endless possibilities in our global society.

PYFA ProgramsLocal, regional, state and national PYFA programs have activities to help members develop leadership through conducting meetings and public speaking, and civic involvement activities. The FFA mission makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
FFA ProgramsLocal, regional, state and national FFA programs and activities help members develop public speaking skills, conduct and participate in meetings, manage financialmatters,strengthenproblem-solvingabilitiesandassumecivicresponsibility. Degrees earned at local, state and national levels recognize members’ increasing accomplishments that align to their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Program.
MembershipThe Pennsylvania FFA membership is over 7,900 members and located in 150 chapters across the state. FFA is a diverse organization, operating in rural, urban and suburban schools. Students, ages 12 to 21 and enrolled in agricultural education programs, are eligible for membership.
