Perhaps the funnest assignment ever!!

Or, always beware when a CD or AE says, “this project’s going to really fun. I swear.”

Timely and topical

A great thing about our industry. We have the opportunity to react really quickly.

Trends, news, current events.

But, you have to be nimble and resourseful.

Oh crap, here he goes again.

Tell us your boring old war stories, Jake.

Thrifty’s. Or, Thriftys

The Spoons

Valley Girls

M*A*S*H

Yogurty’s

Now here’s something topical

Your Final Assignment

Using the sticker family, create an ad that mocks family car stickers.

Any Canadian product/service/non-profit (but no cars).

Any medium: print, billboard, web banner or video, mobile, TV, radio, etc.

Your Final Assignment

You can manipulate the car family any way you like.

Alone or teams of two.

Has to be an ad that could actually run, so provocative, but legal and within community standards (no profanity or insulting any persons or groups).

And the mocking has to be relevant to your chosen product/service/non-profit

marking

Bore me and you get 5/10

Excite me and you get 7.5/10

Make me go “Wow, this is not only book-worthy but I think it should run this weekend.” and you get 10/10 (but only if it’s flawless with zero typos or grammatical errors).

I’m afraid if I don’t say this, you won’t be careful. So, one mark off for each typo or grammatical error.

Do I (zero) need to say (zero) what’ll happen (zero) if you spell (zero) your client’s name wrong?

When?

Turnitin prior to and present in class on Wednesday, December 5th

Not here to present, lose 2.5/10

have fun!

No, seriously, I mean it.
