Whale Watching - Observe Whales in Natural Habitat

Whale is the common name for various marine mammals of the order Cetacea. Blue whale is the largest animal known to have ever existed. Dolphin actually belongs to a suborder of Cetacea.

Whale watching is the practice of observing whales in their natural habitat. Organized whale watching dates back to 1950 in San Diego about Gray Whales.

Canada has some of the best whale watching in the world, different

whales can be observed in different spots. The season varies by province

too, but is generally May through October.

Each winter 20,000 gray whales leave the Baja Peninsula, haul their bus-size bodies north to Alaska. When they past Tofino, they swing in close to shore, so even landlubbers can see them.
