The MSc project represents a step forward, aiding the development of local economy through tourism and providing athletes top conditions for practice and professional racing. The overall concept began at the thought that fragmentation and organic development are the main ingredients to provide sustainability at an urban level. This concept transposed at the project level resulted in a system of flexible spaces, that have the possibility of growing or shrinking thus offering the advantage of sustainable and efficient use.

Construction was solved by the reuse of shipping containers for the living and closed spaces. For the open and common areas 3D printing was the best option, as it offers a large amount of customising and excellent reproduction of organic elements. Therefore the evolution scenary is basically endless provided the use of 3D printing tehnology. Starting from 3 base modules that incorporate the acces area , accommodation and training area, the options of size and space lead to infinite possibilities which will help achieve the perfect efficiency through sustainable development.

The design is based on the necessity of having a relaxing environment in a very noise polluted and congested area in the center of Bucharest. The relationship between the exterior and the interior is crucial, thus the approach of the inclosed design, avoiding as much as possible the exterior and focusing on the interior development.

Apartment house crooked is the result of a vaguely described project theme and a urban constraint of merging a side of high rise buildings with another consisting of houses. The concept was developed keeping in mind the conditions given by the site and the functions needed by the community. The shell design was done by analysing the sun and wind factors. Furthermore the the apartment house is divided into six individual parts that leave room for pedestrian flow and maintain a connection with the offices at ground floor.

One of the main features of this project are the inner courtyards that separate the interior space reating open, easily accesible, areas. This feature ensures easy acces to the exterior environment even in the cold winters or hot summers. The courtyards extend upwards to limit the wind speed and to create a visual signal. Furthermore the building incorporates all the facilities needed to be a confortable residence for the elderly.

Starting from a task of combining a puppet theatre and a workshop area for children into one program, the concept developed as a unit that unfolds itself in the available space, thus creating an interior protected space from noise and traffic. One of the main challenges was to make the building seem smaller, challenge that has been paired with the necessity of a public space in front of the building. The response to this problem was to break the building into diffenrent pieces and bending it around a centre creating a shape that peels itself to the ground, creating a continous shape.

The programme was designed to help diminish the generation gap issues through a better understanding and common development. The diagram illustrates the gaps between the three generations: young, mid-life and the elderly. Furthermore taking consideration of the different schedule of the three categories it would be almost impossible for them to meet in random. Thus the necessity of a community centre where all could meet in a common ground to settle their differences.

“Light vs Water” is a concept pavilion which creation is based on the study of interaction between reflecting surfaces. Light is the bonding element as one reflects upon the other. The pavilion consists of a suspended walkway above the surface of the water and a number of different size prisms that split light, creating a clear and colourfull representation of the dispersion phenomenon.

Architecture evolves through an array of past features to a certain point where it freezes time and space as a solid shape. It’s the weakness of not being able to continuously respond and adapt to new requirements and thus rendering it obsolete. The concept of “Green” should spell “Evolution” beyond the point of the project. It should respond to future requirements. It should in teract with the user. It should FLAP. The main feature of the project is a canvas that rises and lowers depending of the number of people gathering underneath. It defines space. The more people together the higher it goes; thus evolving from a small bump to a large space. It’s a continuously evolving space.
