FaithTime 9:30 – 10:15 A.M.
“Isaiah and the Birth of the Messiah” We will prepare for Advent in this study of
the prophecies of Isaiah concerning the Messiah and, hopefully, find new
meaning for the “ADVENT-ure” of faith. Led by Dr. Bruce Lancaster (Parlor)
20’s & 30’s – Adults in their 20’s and 30’s will gather in room 218 for a time of
fellowship.
Women & Men’s Dialogue Group All are invited to join in reading and discussing
the book, Naked Spirituality: A Life with God in 12 Simple Words, by Brian D.
McLaren. The women meet in room 204 and men meet in the Pastors Study, room
200.
Loss Support Group For anyone who desires a strong, prayerful, caring group of
people to help cope with the difficulties of loss—death, divorce, Alzheimer’s, job
loss, etc.—that are especially fresh during the holiday season. All are welcome.

Children’s Sunday School – Pre – K through Sixth Grade will explore a wide range of
Bible stories and meets on the third floor.

learning to ring, perform and develop into accomplished handbell players. Group

Michael Nigro (Classical Guitar)

Michael Anthony Nigro, Assistant Professor of Music at Vanguard University, holds a Master of Music degree in Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance from Indiana University, Bloomington. His principal teachers were David Grimes and Ernesto Bitetti. As a concert artist, Mr. Nigro has performed across the Unites States and abroad, giving concerts and master classes for numerous universities, performing arts centers, church concert series, guitar societies, libraries and museums, including Auditorio Juan Victoria in San Juan, Argentina; Salon Parroquial-Conciertos “El Rincon” in Villa-General Belgrano, Argentina; and the Ventura County, Colorado Springs, Sacramento, Bloomington, Jefferson, Knoxville, and Portland Guitar Societies. Atana Tzvetkov, director of IU pre-college guitar ensemble and guitar society and former teacher of Mr. Nigro will also be playing.
Organist CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Playing a variety of holiday favorites on the 96 rank Gress-Miles Pipe Organ,
Ted Cronbaugh was appointed Assistant Organist/Music Assistant at Webster
Groves Presbyterian Church in September, 2008. Before coming to WGPC, he
was the Director of Music/Organist at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Charles,
MO, and taught K-8 general music in the parishes school. Previous appointments
include Organist/Music Associate at Manchester United Methodist Church,
Organist for the Archdiocese Choir at the St. Louis Cathedral, and Accompanist for
nine choirs at Parkway Central High School. His 25-year career in music has also
included appointments in churches and schools in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ted is a
graduate of the University of Iowa with a BM in Organ Performance and Certified
in K-12 vocal music.
COMMUNITY LIFE

of Virginia and Gene Johanson, the gift of their family.
NURSERY (first floor near the Moody Avenue entrance) from 8:30 – 11:30
a.m. welcomes infants, toddlers and two-year-olds.
CHILDREN ARE ALWAYS WELCOME IN WORSHIP AT WGPC! Worship Activity bags are located at each entrance to the Sanctuary, and
children ages 3–3rd
Grade are dismissed following the Young Disciples’ Time
to Children’s Worship. Parents may pick up their children after worship in
Room 211.

THANKSGIVING WORSHIP SERVICE will be held Thursday,
November 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Dr. Lancaster will bring the message
and special music will enrich our experience.

Our annual Parents’ Day Out Party will be Saturday, December 13, from
11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Volunteer shifts begin at 10:30 a.m. and last for
either all or part of the time. If you are willing to help, please contact Sue

know how many volunteers we have before we set the number of children
we are able to host!
