Description

Cirrhosis is a late stage of scarring (fibrosis) of the liver caused by many forms of liver diseases and conditions. This occurs in response to liver damage and can not be undone. If diagnosed early, it can be treated. It is estimated that 10 to 15% of alcoholics develop cirrhosis.

Causes

Scar tissue that form in the liver Iron build-up in the body Cystic Fibrosis Hepatitis Fat or copper accumulation in liver Genetic Digestive disorder

Fatigue Easy bleeding/bruising Itchy Skin Loss of Appetite Jaundice Nausea Weight loss
