• There are no electronically devices• There are no clothing stores, no food markets, no

furniture…• There are no proper houses• There is one language that everyone speaks• There is only one tradition• You are separated from the rest of the world

• This Stone Aged Tribe was found in the Western Amazon

Region of Brazil.

• They were found in May 2008.

• The government has closed off this region to the outside

world to protect them.

• Only a few are ever allowed in.

• It takes a month to get there.

• There are only 155 Suruwaha’s.

• They believe they are the perfect race.

• Their existence appears idyllic.

• Their physical appearance is very important to them.

• The young warrior’s strength is tested in a wrestling match, “Woolly Monkey Ritual”.

• The man earn their respect by becoming good hunters.

• The men of this tribe hunt:

• Monkeys

• birds

• wild pig

and bring the animals back

so everyone can eat them.

They have many different ways to hunt and protect themselves, 2 examples are:

• Arming a blowpipe with poison darts

• Using bows and arrows

• The men hunt monkeys, birds and wild pig.

• The fresh food makes them among the healthiest people on the earth.

• The tribe will move from one place to another depending on food availability and season.

• Their physical appearance is very important to them.

• They use body paint, which is made out of ground berries, to enhance their beauty.

• The colour that is used the most is Uricum.

• They believe it is the most beautiful color in the world.

• Most of the Suruwaha people commit suicide.

• they taking a drug that is made out of a deadly poison ground up root.

• They build small cots to live in.

• Every night all the Suruwaha’s (including the children) inhale

drug called Kumadi, which is made from tree bark.

• They believe that it opens the door to the spiritual world.

• the Suruwaha's believe that children that are born with

disabilities are evil spirits, and be killed in the cruelest way

• The average life expectancy is thirty-five

• Not because of the bad health, but because of the extremely bizarre euthanasia.

The Suruwaha’s believe that children born with disabilities or born to a single mother are evil spirits.

• They believe that they should be killed in the cruellest way possible.

• They take these poor babies either out into the jungle to be eaten alive by the wild beasts or they bury them alive.

• This is one of the worst human rights violations in the world.

• Many of Suruwaha people commit suicide until the age of 35.

• A common reason: They want to be reunited with their relatives in the afterlife.

• The common way to commit suicide: to take a deadly poison made from a ground up root called Timbo.

• Even after 5 years since they were found, we still don’t know what to do with them:

Should we let them live as they have for thousands of years?

• Should we let them come out into our modern world?

I hope you enjoyed it!
