Men in workplace wore tailored suits with matching hats.

At home men wore cardigans and button downs.

Men’s Fashion

Children wear mini versions of adult clothing.

Baby boom = more thought put towards children’s fashions.

Children

New emerging age group in the 50s. Rebellious teens listened to rock-and-roll

and dressed differently than adults. Blue jeans became popular.

Teenagers

Women often stayed at home. Wore aprons and day dresses. Held elaborate dinner parties.

Women in the Home

Men in the army wore standard issue uniforms. (1)

Men in the navy wore uniforms similar to those of WWII. (2)
