Buyback Service

Buyback Service

You can download the extension archive from 'My Account' section at iKantam store - check under 'My Downloadable Products'. To install the extension please follow these steps:

• First, you need to log in to the Magento administrator area. Then go to System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager.

• A new page will open for the Magento Connect Manager and you will be asked to provide your administrative credentials again. These are security measures, please log in using your admin access.

Buyback Service

• Once logged in you will see 2 sections: Extensions and Settings. It is recommended to verify the options chosen in the Settings section first. In the Settings section there are several options you can configure, but leaving the default values is recommended.

• Go to Extensions section, find the tab “Direct package file upload” and upload the archive that you’ve received from us to magento. That’s it - you’ve installed the extension.

• Don’t forget to go to the admin area > System > Cache Management, click 'Select All', choose 'Refresh' option in the dropdown and click 'Submit' button.

Important Note: After you are done with the extension installation, Logout from the Magento administrator area. After your next log in you’ll be able to use all the extension functionality.

Follow these steps:

• First, you need to log in to the Magento administrator area. Then go to System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager.

• At the bottom of the Extensions section find the list of all installed extensions. Find 'Buyback Service' extension. In the Action dropdown select 'Uninstall' and click 'Commit Changes'

Con�guration and Usage

To manage the extension go to: System->configuration->ikantam->buyback.

To track the byback inquiries log in to magento admin area and click Buyback tab.

To enable customers to request a buyback admin should create a ‘Buyback Product’ typewhich will apear in create new product section after the module installation; see the image:

On the frontend Buyback product will be displayed as simple products supporting Custom Options. With help of this options users would be able to indicate device condition (and the price will dynamically be updated), add some comments or/and upload the image.See the example below:

On the view/edit buyback order page site admin can change the order status:

If some of the statuses missing, it can be added at System->Order Statuses. All you need to do is add new status and asign it to the order state, see the image:

For the buyback orders admin can set correspondent email notifications at system->configuration->ikantam->buyback. See the image:
