Building In Second Life…

• How to build a piezoelectric disk for a ultrasonic humidifier in second life.

Create a hemisphere shape from the create menu…

Edit the size settings to manipulate the shape into the object you want…

Click the texture tab on the build menu and click the texture option…

From the drop down list select a texture and click ok to change the texture of the

object…

Create a ring shape, edit the size to change the shape…

Align the disk shape so that it sits perfectly in the center of the ring…

Once the disk is aligned in the center of the ring Hold shift and click the ring to select

both objects, Click the link button…

Building in Second Life…

• How to build the humidifier’s nebulizer chamber.

Create a cube shape…

Edit the size of the cube to change the shape…

Create a hollow in the shape and change the default hollow shape…

Create a cylinder shape…

Edit the sizes to change the shape…

Create a hollow in the shape…

Make the shape transparent…

Align the two shapes, use the orbit zoom pan to change the view to make sure the

shapes sit together perfectly…

Once aligned, hold the shift key and click the second object to select them both…

Link the two objects so that they move as one object…

Create a new cube object…

Edit the sizes to change the object…

Create a hollow in the shape…

Create a path cut in the shape by editing the B values under the path cut option…

Create another path cut in the shape by editing the E value under the path cut

option…

Edit the rotation values to rotate the shape…

The shape should be sitting with the path cut side facing up…

Align the first two linked objects to the left side of the path cut shape so that they sit

edge to edge…

Select all the objects and link them…

Create a new cube shape…

Edit the sizes to change the shape…

Align the shape to the right side of the first two linked objects and link them…

Create a new cube object…

Edit the sizes to change the shape…

Align the shape to the back of the object so that it sits edge to edge, select all

objects and link them.
