2) Ethics for Histopathology
Half-day workshop and online module. Online module must be completed before attending workshop.

Histopathology Study Days
• 10 Study Days from September to July for all Histopathology Trainees (BST and HST)
• Focus on topics specific to Histopathology, with presentations by Consultants and Trainees
• Most Study Days take place at RCPI, with some outside Dublin
• These are in addition to the Mandatory Courses, and you should attend at least 4 per year of training

FRCPath Part 1
• Designed to allow you to demonstrate what you have learned in the workplace
• Consider when you will attempt your exam
• The Faculty of Pathology recommends that candidates attempt Part 1 of the FRCPath examination following completion of BST

• Evaluations take place in May/June at RCPI
• Evaluation Panels consist of the NSD, Coordinator and a Chair
• The Panel will look at your ePortfolio records and speak with you and your Trainer about your progress
• To prepare – ensure your ePortfolio is up to date and that you complete relevant forms ahead of your evaluation

• Evaluations take place in November at RCPI – this is an aptitude assessment to determine if you are ready to continue into HST
• Evaluation Panels consist of the NSD, Coordinator and a Chair
• The Panel will look at your ePortfolio records and speak with you and your Trainer about your progress
• To prepare – ensure your ePortfolio is up to date and that you complete relevant forms ahead of your evaluation
