EXHIBITOR BROCHURE
A show of excellenceBy closing halls 6 and 7, relocating to larger halls 9 and 11, and opening the Elicium as the new core of METS, we’ve
been able to streamline the exhibition to benefit both exhibitors and visitors. Relocating the SuperYacht Pavilion
to a single venue in Hall 10 has also helped to further strengthen this increasingly important show within a show.
By extending the METS halls today, we have also allowed for growth tomorrow.
A show of efficiencyTime is precious and life is fast paced. This is why we aim to make life as easy as possible for exhibitors with our
‘select-a-scheme’ stand packages. We’ve also made access easier for set-up and break-down and improved general
access through three entrances at the front of the exhibition building. With more private rooms for meetings,
receptions and press launches, we’ve also kept a close eye on your networking needs.
A show of handsOur data reveals very high levels of return visitors and exhibitors year on year. What better endorsement? There is no
better place to establish face-to-face working relationships with people from all over the world and no better place
to view a global gallery of thousands of marine products. There is no better place to launch YOUR products.
PREPARING TODAY – FOR TOMORROWRecord exhibitor numbers for METS 2009 bucked trends and further endorsed the position of METS as
the world’s number one marine equipment trade show. The show grew, in part, because we extended
space to incorporate the new RAI Elicium building. After all, a world leading event deserves a world
leading venue!

to scoop stories on the latest innovations and give
you valuable extra publicity. Get your news ready!
The DAME turns 20!2010 is the 20th anniversary of
the DAME (Design Award METS),
the most prestigious award for
product innovation in the world.
Over the past two decades, several thousand of the
most interesting and innovative marine products have
been scrutinised by the DAME jury, an independent
panel of industry experts. All products submitted have
been on display at METS and many were launched at
the show. Winning the DAME has brought companies
a host of sales and marketing benefits, and devising
and sponsoring the DAME has, in turn, ensured that
METS has become the leading platform for new
product launches.
The DAME Awards are presented at the Breakfast
Briefing, an annual attraction held for exhibitors and
other special guests before show opening time on
the first morning of METS. In addition to the awards
ceremony, an industry expert gives a special METS
keynote address. Guest speakers have included
Mr.Paolo Benetti, CEO of Azimut and Mr. Michael
Schmidt, CEO of Hanse Yachts.
Product galleryMETS offers a global gallery of proven and new products
– it’s an unrivalled marine equipment showcase.
Whether you are looking to buy, sell or distribute,
visiting METS is the best way to get a comprehensive
market overview. Specialist products can be found in
the SuperYacht, Marina Equipment and Composite
Pavilions and everything – from propulsion, navigation,
construction materials, communications and safety
equipment to furniture, fittings, electrical installations,
clothing and marine paints – can be found throughout
the show. For more detailed overview of all products,

Super profileThe SuperYacht Pavilion (SYP) at METS has grown to
become a show in its own right – enjoying all the
benefits of METS whilst developing its own distinctive
profile. As services as well as products are crucially
important to superyacht operation, the SYP is the only
part of METS where service providers as well as product
manufacturers can exhibit.
The SYP attracts a steady stream of vessel designers,
builders and superyacht captains and is complemented
by the three-day Global Superyacht Forum (GSF).
Organised by The Yacht Report Group, the GSF is the
leading industry conference that attracts high profile
speakers and several hundred delegates.
More information can be found in the special
SuperYacht Pavilion brochure,
available on metstrade.com.
Sponsored transportAmsterdam RAI, the Dutch national railway company
(NS) and the Amsterdam public transport company
(GVB) have joined forces to offer visitors cheaper public
transport to METS. Reduced tariffs are offered for
journeys to and from every station in the Netherlands
and for buses, metro and trams in Amsterdam.
The initiative is a great extra service for METS
attendees and is good for the environment too!
AmsterdamThe bright and bustling city of Amsterdam is just
10 minutes away from Amsterdam RAI by public
transport. The city offers many cultural sights and
dining options. Don’t miss ‘The Masterpieces’ at the
Rijksmuseum – a special highlight exhibition of the
Golden Age.
