It is with great excitement that I return to my Brandt family from my amazing
and memorable wedding in Puerto Rico. I missed my Brandt family very much
and look forward to the exciting events and happenings we have in the upcoming
months. This week we welcomed the Tools of the Mind team to observe our
preschool classrooms. They were very impressed with the level of rigor within
our preschool program. I was also beyond thrilled to dazzle our families this
week as Pirate Rodriguez-Gomez because of our outstanding book fair sales.
There are lots of treasures within our Brandt hallways that we will be working
on and sharing as we get closer to our holiday season.

their children are receiving the best learning journey possible.
There is only one opportunity to receive a engaging and innova-

starts by being present in our Brandt seats.

THE BEARS
In the next few weeks Ms. Forte, our Visual Arts
teacher, will be designing our Brandt Mascot.
We look forward to meeting him!
Theatre Train with Pre K
Mile Square and Hopes Pre K 4 classes are working
with Ms. Traina in developing frozen statues or
tableau based on When The Snowflakes Fall by
Tina Macnaughton and Claire Freedman. Students
portrayed penguins, snow leopards, and polar
bears by demonstrating asymmetrical shapes using
their bodies and performing synchronized move-
ment sequences to winter themed music.
Ready, Set, Spike!
In physical education class students
are practicing the sport of volleyball.
The skills that students are learning
are setting, bumping, and serving.
Students will exhibit collaborative,
communicative, and gross motor skills
while practicing with partners and in
small groups to master each skill set.
We will finalize our unit with a class
game that will exhibit their team-
work.

role as preschool special education inclusion teacher, it has been an exciting transi-

teachers within the Hoboken School District. When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband
and our dog Charlie. We love taking advantage of the many tremendous areas and attractions that New Jer-
sey has to offer. A few of my favorite things to do are to go apple and pumpkin picking in the Fall, partici-
pate in yoga classes in the park during the spring, and spend summer days at the Jersey shore. I hope to
continue to be an influential educational leader, not only enriching the lives of students and families, but
also learning and growing from each child I work with.

to the park with my gorgeous niece and nephew, and taking long walks with my super energetic dog Pepe.
