In November 2013, Mexico’s Tojolabal community gathered to celebrate the first translation of Ruth and Esther into their language. Women and girls in beautiful, traditional dresses greeted the many people of all ages arriving at the dedication ceremony. Prayers of thanksgiving were said and silence fell as people listened intently to the new Scriptures being read out loud. People were delighted to get copies of the new books, and many opened them straight away. The Tojolabal New Testament is due to be launched this year. Please pray as translation work continues on the Old Testament. For more stories about Bible Society work please visit - www.unitedbiblesocieties.org
