The aim of bibliometric analysis is to statistically assess scientific literature in a given field so much so
that its applicability to various disciplines is evident. This paper presents the outcomes of a
Bibliometric analysis aiming to gauge knowledge quality and productivity of UUM’s Journal of
Information and Communication Technology (JICT), a refereed journal in the field of social sciences.
Since its inception in 2002, 122 articles had been published. Of this figure, 41.4% were the works of
UUM lecturers while the remaining numbers were produced by authors from other institutions.
Diversification of contributors was also apparent with authors coming from many different countries
such as United Kingdom, New Zealand, Iran, Singapore and Jordan, just to name a few. Compositions
of author are also varied. Off all the articles analyzed, 10.7% are single authored, 30.33% dual
authorships, 37.7% tripartite contributors, and the remaining 19% has more than four authors. In terms
of institution, the five most productive are UUM (45%), UPM (11.5%), UKM (9%), UTM (8.2%), and
UiTM (7.4%). Other notable institutional contributors are MMU (5.8%), USM (5.0%), UniMAP
(3.3%), as well as UMP, IIUM, Institute Basic Science and Federal University of Technology with
2.5% contributions each. At the end of the study, concluding remarks and further research
recommendations are discussed.

Green supply chain management can be defined as integrating environmental thinking into supply-
chain management, including product design, material sourcing and selection, manufacturing
processes, delivery of the final product as well as end-of-life management of the product after its useful
life. During the recent times there has been a substantial increase in need for organizations to focus on
Green SCM especially because of increased consensus amongst various stakeholders of the society
towards the use of conservative & sustainable practices. Thus, Green SCM has found its way in the
entire spectrum of supply chain activities like green manufacturing, green purchasing, green materials
management, green distribution & logistics, and green reverse logistics. The purpose of this paper is to
discuss global dimensions in different countries regarding the Green Supply Chain Management and
their practices. It also provide an overview to the academician, researchers and practitioners to better
understand this concept from wider perspective of the Green SCM literature. This paper will provide an
outline of the Green Supply Chain Management literature in different viewpoints. This also helps to
understand the theories related to Green SCM, Green SCM in developed and developing countries

Diabetes mellitus is currently one of the most common causes of death, afflicting people of different
races across the continents of the world. Its rate of occurrence is threatening and commonly associated
with individual’s lifestyle and genetic factors. Based on the defect causing the disease, cost effective
anti-diabetic or hypoglycemic drug are rightly available for its remedy. However, such drugs are often
costly and unaffordable due to poverty and usually present undesirable side effects. It is therefore
imperative to undertake scientific investigations to find an alternative and safe effective herbal
medication which will be readily available, easily accessible and affordable for the management of the
disease. The LD50 test carried out shows no sign of toxicity and the animals were found healthy and

15 VALUE CO-CREATION, CO-DESTRUCTION, AND FIRM PERFORMANCE: A PROPOSED MEDIATION OF THE INTERNET OF THINGS
Mohamad Faizal Ahmad Zaidi, H.M. Belal
Universiti Utara Malaysia
Value co-creation is a study on consumer-firm interactions, where consumers can be actively involved
with firms in designing, developing, marketing, distributing, and (or) selling of products to personalize
their service experiences. In contrast, value co-destruction exists due to imbalance involvement
between consumers and firm in co-creating of value as a result of misuse of resources. Previous studies
have suggested while value co-creation will increase firm performance, value co-destruction will do
just the opposite of that. In the meantime, the internet of things (IoT) has becoming important topic to
study how value co-creation and co-destruction can be created. Therefore, it was expected the effects
of value co-creation and co-destruction on firm performance can be better understood with IoT.
However, study that has looked into the mediating effects of IoT in the relationships between value co-
creation and co-destruction on firm performance in a single topic is still hard to find. In line with the
research gap, this paper will be investigating the aforementioned issue by building a conceptual
framework with research propositions. This paper is proposing that IoT will positively improve the
effect of value co-creation on firm performance, while at the same time reducing the negative effect of
value co-destruction. This paper is expected to enhance our knowledge on the relationships between
value co-creation and co-destruction, improve our understanding on the effects of IoT on firm
performance, and promotes resource-based view (RBV) to complement Service-Dominant (S-D) logic
at explaining superior firm performance.

collapse. In 1989, the housing price of Shanghai in China has been as high as 2,000 Yuan/square meter;
majority of the people of China feel it is unacceptable to bear the cost in their life. The problem deeply
troubled every Citizen. In order to study the factors influencing the real estate price of China, in this
paper which the main objective is to explore the impact of geographical position and macroeconomic
factors on China's commercial housing price fluctuations in the different regions. Panel data method
was applied for the selected 31 regions from 2002-2015. The average selling price of commercial
housing is regarded as the dependent variable while the regional attributes (Gross Region Product,
Consumer Price Index , Land acquisition cost, Land acquisition area and Overall number of people)
and the macroeconomic attributes (Money supply and Medium and Long term loan interest Rate) are
regarded as the independent variables. The study divided the country in to eastern, middle and Western
regions and the result shows that GRP affect housing price in all 31 regions depicting a positive
relationship between average selling price of commercial housing and Gross regional product, land
acquisition fee, overall number of people, medium and long term loan interest rate, and money supply
in the 31 regions of China.

company will be holding only three days inventory and the supplier will continuously replenish the
inventory to sustain a three day stock level. The three day stock level is necessary because of the
volatility of demand within the automotive industry in Malaysia and is designed to strike a balance
between keeping Just in Time (JIT) stock and overstocking. The framework is divided into three levels
and the first level evaluates a company’s suitability to implement the Supplier Kanban System, the
second level guides the company towards the preparation for the implementation and third level guides
the company on the implementation and sustainability. Each of these level has a series of steps which
has to be executes sequentially and one can move to the next level only when the current level has been
successfully implemented.

Paddy residue creates the huge potential in the power generation sector. In Malaysia,
consumption of paddy residue for electricity generation can help to mitigate the GHG
emission and the best solution for waste management activities. The forecast data on
electricity generation is used to calculate the GHG emission and its saving when paddy
residue is used for electricity generation. The government cost saving also identified when
paddy residue substituted the coal fuel in electricity generation. Hopefully, the data obtained
can motivate the stakeholder bodies in implementation paddy residue as electricity generation
since their positive impact toward cost and emission saving.
