Employee Self Service: Accessing PeopleSoft at Work
• To access PeopleSoft at work simply go to the Paystub link on the Core. • Choose Oracle PeopleSoft to view
paystubs starting with the 1/27/2017 pay date.
• Choose Paperless Pay to view pay stubs from 1/13/2017 and before as well as your 2016 W-2.
Employee Self Service: Accessing PeopleSoft at Home• To access PeopleSoft at home go to
www.bvhealthsystem.org.• At the bottom of the page click on Associate
Portal.• Under Pay Stub
• Choose PeopleSoft Pay Stubs to view paystubs starting with the 1/27/2017 pay date.
• Choose Paperless Pay to view pay stubs from 1/13/2017 and before as well as your 2016 W-2.

• Log into the BVHS Citrix Web Interface using your network User name and Password (ex. Jane Smith = jsmith) Do not enter your entire email address.
• If you have never used the BVHS Citrix Web Interface before click “install” or you can click “Skip to Log On” if you wish not to install.
• Click on “Click to connect”

(ex. Jane Smith = jsmith) Do not enter your entire email address.
• If you are unable to sign in please call the help desk at ext. 55211 or submit a help desk ticket by clicking the Help Desk link on the Core.
Employee Self Service: View Paycheck• Head to: Main Menu > Self Service > Payroll
and Compensation > View Paycheck
• This page allows the associate to view a history of paychecks they have received in the PeopleSoft system.
• Associates are able to print an Acrobat Reader PDF document with all earnings, deductions, and taxes listed for that paycheck range.
Employee Self Service: View Paycheck• Select the Check Date you would like
to view.
• The paycheck detail will appear

of earnings, taxes, deductions, etc. This is meant as a guide to understand the various headings and where to find
specific information.
Area Description Fields

Payroll Information
Consists of payroll information.
Employer name and business address
Pay Group: 01 (Salaried Associate), 02 (Hourly Associate)
Pay Begin Date and Pay End Date: The current payroll cycle
Business Unit: Used for tax purposes
Advice Number: The number assigned to the associate’s pay advice,
similar to a check number
Advice Date: The date the funds are available

Employee Information
Displays associate information.
Associate Name: The name of the associate
Associate Address: The address of the associate
Associate ID: The associate’s issued associate identification number
Department: The associate’s primary department
Location: The associate’s primary location
Job Title – Associate’s job title
Pay Rate - Biweekly pay rate

Tax Data
Shows what the associate has designated for federal and state taxes, which determines how much Federal and California state taxes are withheld from a paycheck.
Marital Status: Marital status (tax status) of the associate for tax
withholding purposes
Allowances: Withholding allowances selected for Federal and State
Addl Percent and Addl Amount: Additional withholdings

Hours and Earnings
Reports the associate’s regular monthly salary and/or how many hours worked in the pay period, including overtime, holiday hours, and sick/vacation hours.
Regular monthly base salary: Includes base pay bi-weekly pay
Additional Pays: Allowances such as overtime, sick pay, shift diff,
vacation, etc.

Taxes
Shows how much is being withheld for taxes.
Fed Withholding: Federal income tax withheld
Fed MED/EE: Associate portion of Medicare
Fed OASDI/EE: Associate’s portion of Social Security
OH Withholdng: State of OH tax withholding

Before and After Tax
Deductions
Shows the before and after tax deductions.
Before Tax Deductions: Items listed in this box are taken from the
associate’s gross wages before taxes, these deductions reduce the
Federal taxable wages and therefore the associate’s tax withholding
After Tax Deductions: Items listed in this box are deducted from the
associate’s gross wages and have no effect on the taxable wages

Employer Paid Benefits
Shows employer paid benefits.
If any amounts are included as taxable income they will be indicated
with an asterisk.

Paycheck Summary
Displays a breakdown of current and year-to-date earnings, taxes, deductions, and net pay.
The Current row refers to gross pay less current deductions.
The YTD row refers to the total gross received for the calendar year and
includes the current amount.
Total Gross: The gross pay received
Fed Taxable Gross: Gross pay minus any pre-pay deductions
Total Taxes: The total of Federal and State withholdings
Total Deductions: The total of the before tax and after tax deductions
Net Pay: The gross pay less deductions and tax withholdings paid to
the associate

Absences Balances
Shows your absence balances for vacation and sick time.
Balances are displayed in hours.

Net Pay Distribution
Shows net earnings for the pay period.
If you have more than one account set up for direct deposit, each
account and the amount of deposit will be shown
