Project example
“District heating plant-model of the new generation – carbon-neutral
energy and food production industrial ecosystem based on local ingredients
and industrial side streams” 08/2019-06/2021
• Utilizing the surplus heat from wood-based heating plant (pyrolysis)
• combining different side streams (wood biomass, food waste, side steams from
agriculture and municipalities, reindeer meat production, fisheries etc.)
• Linking pyrolysis, recirculating aquaculture, greenhouses, biogas production, farming
of insects and algae etc.
• The main idea of the platform is to combine local energy and food production.
• The platform of the energy and the industrial ecosystem is modelled.
