Nanogenerators are made up of an assembly of ZnO nanowires.

Nanogenerators come in two types of structures:

VING (Vertical nanowire array Integrated Nanogenerator)

LING(Lateral-nanowire-array Integrated Nanogenerator)

Working Principle

Nanogenerators work on the principle of “Piezoelectricity”.

Piezoelectricity: Electric polarization in a

substance resulting from the application of mechanical stress .
