to come to our classrooms anytime
To join all our field trips/science labs, etc.
To attend PAC meetings
To volunteer in the school
To share their concerns about their child with teachers

WE NEED YOU TO KNOW
Grade 8 is the first year of a “Secondary Curriculum”: the expectations are therefore higher/more demanding than grade 7
Our job is to see that your child is ready for Secondary School – Grade 9!
Curriculum will be demanding at times, be prepared for homework!
Contact us right away if you have any questions or concerns
Very seldom will your child have “no homework”
On a typical day: about 1 hour of homework

Speaking French in class is mandatory for all students
Grade 8 is an important “bridge” year in your child’s education
Positive communication between home/school is important for a successful year
