BELATEDJanuary 11th February 10thThe Hamilton Grange National Memorial, in partnership with the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society, will hold a belated Happy Birthday Hamilton! program since the site was closed on Hamilton’s birthday (January 11th) due to the NPS’ shutdown.

Nicole Scholet de Villavicencio is a historianspecializing in the Founding Era of the United States. She has spoken on the lives of Alexander and Eliza Hamilton at venues such as Hamilton Grange National Memorial, the Schuyler Mansion, and GeorgeWashington University Museum and has been featured on C-SPAN. Her talk will share insights on AlexanderHamilton’s early life in the Caribbean through the ex-amination of a letter that 12-year-old Hamilton wroteto his friend Edward Stevens. This letter, written 250 years ago, is the oldest extant letter written by Hamilton, and contains fascinating pronouncements of his later life. Talk will start at 1:00pm.

Mariana Oller is Chairof the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Societyand Associate Curator of Special Collections at Wellesley College. Tom Oller is Vice Chair of theAlexander Hamilton A Society and Senior Lecturerin the Writing Program at Boston University.Talk will start at 11:00am.

National Hamilton Advocate Mari-anne Als presents“The HamilShow,“a visual presentation about Hamilton’s life. This work is product of extensive research to gather Alexander Hamilton related images of historic locations and documents, in a narrative that pairs Alexander Hamilton’s story and legacy with captivating music.This presentation comes in two parts.Part 1 will be shown at 12:00pmPart 2 will be shown at 2:00pm
