Selecting Analysis System

Double click Static Structural

Importing Geometry

Right click Geometry and Browse to select the relevant file

Right click and select Edit in Model Cell

Applying Fixed Support B.C.

Click Y axis vector in the triad

Right click and select Fixed Support from Static Structural

1. Click the edge selection filter

2. Select this edge

3. Click Apply

Right click Static Structural and select Remote Force

1. Click the face selection filter

2. Select the 2 faces shown (using Ctlr key)

3. Click Apply

Type in a value of -2.5E3 in Z Component

Right click and select Normal Stress

Select these two faces and then click Apply

Change the Orientation to Z axis
