The Pittsburgh Steelers are the greatest football team in the NFL.

Students Will:• Know: The Steelers colors and symbols.

• Do: Create a terrible towel and recite game day chants

• Feel: Pride for the team, Hope for the season, Belonging to the larger fan base.

How are we going to get there?

Learning activities:

Students will research the Steelers’ symbols and colors online. They will then create their own terrible towels representing these designs.

Students will be instructed to dress in Steelers colors for a QR code pep rally. Teams of students will scan bar codes around the classroom "stadium" to hear various game day chants. Each team will be responsible for teaching one chant to the rest of the group while displaying their terrible towels.
