ISHRAE STUDENT CHAPTER REINSTALLATION CEROMANY

(31st August, 2018)

The installation ceremony of new members of ISHRAE student chapter was conducted in the seminar

hall of Mechanical Engineering on 31st August, 2018.

EXPERT LECTURE ( 31st August, 2018 )

The BBSBEC-ISHRAE student chapter has organized a one day workshop on the basics of “Air

Conditioning and Refrigeration (RAC)” on 31st August, 2018 for the final year students of Mechanical

Engineering. The workshop was conducted by the president of ISHRAE Chandigarh Chapter Mr. Cecil

Akhai, Ex Hospital Engineer, PGI Chandigarh with 40 years of experience as consultant in HVAC

industry. He had discussed the trouble shootings and advancements in refrigeration and air conditioning

industry. The students eagerly asked the concepts on present day inverter technology, difference between

refrigeration, cooling and air conditioning, star ratings of Air conditioners and challenges in using

refrigerants under the ODS scanner.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT (23rd Oct, 2018)

An industrial visit to 'Blue Star Industries Pvt. Ltd.' Kala Amb (HP)

BBSBEC student chapter of ISHRAE organized an industrial visit to 'Blue Star Industries Pvt. Ltd.' Kala

Amb (HP) on 23rd Oct, 2018 for students of Mechanical Engineering and MBA. The training during visit

was supported by the technical exposure of the step by step procedure of assembly line for water cooler

and split ACs and various sheet metal operations carried out during manufacturing of their cabinet. Such

tailored visit develops the thought process of our students and helpful in relating their theoretical concepts

with practical applications.

Visit to ISB Mohali (URJAVARAN-2018)

ISHRAE students members attended one day conference i.e. URJAVARAN-2018 on 17th Nov, 2018 at

ISB Auditorium Mohali. The theme of Urjavaran was "CLIMATE CHANGE EMERGING

SOLUTIONS - Join hands to Conserve Energy and to protect Earth for the Future", very aptly

describes the purpose of having URJAVARAN.

Industrial Visit to Panasonic Industries, Jhajjar (Haryana) on 18th Oct, 2013

BBSBEC student chapter of ISHRAE organized an industrial visit to 'Panasonic Industries’ Jhajjar on 18th

Oct, 2013 for students of Mechanical Engineering.

National Level Quiz Competition

ISHRAE student members participated in National level quiz competition (ACREX-2013) held in

Mumbai and bagged the FIRST PRIZE worth Rs. 50000/-.

ISHRAE TRAINING

Four students were selected for their 6 months industrial training by Chandigarh Chapter of ISHRAE.

“ISHRAE has always provided me appropriate support and guidance to build up my career in the best

possible way. Being a trainee in 7th semester 2012 under the supervision of HVAC expert Mr. Deepak

Verma, I could actually inculcate enormous skills and I could take my career to a different level. The

cooperation and knowledge, I imbibed from him, was simply incredible. Just because of him, ISHRAE

Chandigarh Chapter had won its first A Quest trophy ever in 2013 (Mumbai) with a cash prize of 50,000/-

after a long wait of 14 years by beating around 40 teams who participated from different regions of India.

Moreover, we got various job options also to embark with our professional career after that

I strongly opine that if any student gets this sort of track then success always looks easy to grab. I express

my sincere gratitude towards ISHRAE team especially Deepak Sir and whole team of BBSBEC for offering
