Operational Information Against Illegal VoIP

Two operations against illegal VoIP were conducted by a joint team of BTRC and

agency to the following addresses

(1). on 16th September 2018

Mohammadpur,Dhaka,

(2). on 16th September2018, located at Shakhartec, Adabor, Dhaka-1207.

Summary of Apparatus confiscated during the Operation:

N.B. : Internet Connectivity has been managed by the Qubee and Banglalion Wireless router for operating the SIMBox establishment.

Two accused persons have been arrested for illegal VoIP activities. Criminal lawsuits have been

lodged for such illegal activities under section 35(2), 55(7) of the Bangladesh

Telecommunication Regulation Act,2001. The materials confiscated during this operation are

now under the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
