- MUMMIFICATION Mummification is were you wrap up a dead person.
It was an expensive process. They wrapped the mummy in linen and
milk, then they would put wood on it to keep it wrapped. After that
they would put a death mask on him or her.

- THE SPHINX The sphinx is called the Great Sphinx. The great
sphinx is a large human headed lion with no nose. The sphinx is
Egyptian and Greek. The face of the Sphinx is believed to represent
Khafre, which makes it the oldest large-scale royal portrait
known.

- PHARAOHS Pharaohs are kings that Ancient Egyptians call a God.
There were 10 women pharaohs. They are the richest and power
fullest people that lived in Egypt. They didnt live for very long
and had to marry a relative. They often had jewellery like
this.

- THE RIVER NILE The river Nile is 3.2 km wide and 6,853 km long.
They used it for water, hunting, transport of goods and fishing.
Towns are all really close to the banks of the Nile. The Nile flows
through 5 countries! The river Nile was important to the Egyptians
because it was fresh and helped them with everything.
