The purpose of this manual is to aid students in understanding how to use their CASHNet payment portal.

You may view your student statement, make a payment, set-up a payment plan, request direct deposit for any refund that is expected (instead of waiting for a check) and allow parent access to student financial information.

Please log in through the self-service portal http://selfservice.avemaria.edu/Home.aspx

Click “Finances”

Click “View Bill or Make Payment” This will take you to the AMU payment site powered by CASHNet.

VIEWING STUDENT STATEMENT

Your current balance will reflect all scholarships, grants and/or loans which have been disbursed by the Office of Financial Aid.

Payment Plans are reflected on student statement. Click on “view” to be able to see current student statement.

Above is an example of a student statement: total charges and any credit such as payments or Financial Aid once it has been disbursed.

MAKING A PAYMENT

Make a payment.

Click Term the payment is for. (this may show any balance that has not been taken care of) Pay for ID card here. (Only if your card is damaged or has been lost)

Amount: this will default to current balance. If this amount needs to be modified, delete amount that is shown and enter correct amount.

Enter last name, first name. Click “add to cart” once finished.

Review, if all looks good click “checkout” You can edit or delete.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT

Credit Card transactions will be charged a service charge fee of 2.9%. The ‘service charge fee’ is a separate charge from your tuition and general fee. If you are satisfied with your payment then check the box acknowledging that you accept the

terms and conditions of the User Agreement and click on the ‘Continue Checkout’ button.

Enter your credit card information. Continue checkout. You may enter a name for payment method to be saved for future use.

If your information is correct then click on the ‘Submit Payment’ button. Your payments will automatically be charged to your credit card.

SETTING UP PAYMENT PLAN

To enroll in a payment plan click on the link which says ‘Click here to enroll in the Fall(Spring) 2*** - 5 payment Plan’

Payment plans are set-up by term only. There is a set-up fee of $25.00 each payment plan set-up. Minimum amount for which a payment plan can be set-up is $500.00.

You may notice that the amounts populated in the fields have defaulted. Amounts can be modified if needed. Example: Add $40.00 science lab fee for each science class.

Enter any payments made, scholarships, loans and/or grants. Net amount for installment is your total payment plan amount.

Very top will show total installment plan amount. What you pay now: $25.00 set-up fee and any installment payments already due. Below are the monthly payment amounts that will be electronically withdrawn from your

checking account or charged to your credit card. Credit card payments will be subject to a 2.9% service charge fee. Agree to terms and conditions of agreement. Electronic signature can be found on your student statement Review and accept.

This screen will show enrollment fee and any missed installment payments. Payment will be withdrawn from account next business day. Fill out banking information

SETTING UP FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENT

Banking information must be filled out again. Note: When you enter information again this is will not charge your account again; this is to set-

up for electronic withdrawal.

SET-UP E-REFUND DIRECT DEPOSIT

E-Refund: This can be set-up, so when you have a refund that is due instead of waiting for a check you can have the refund direct deposited to your checking account.

Click “Yes, I want refunds deposited directly into my bank account.

SET-UP PARENT ID’S

Add new

Parent ID: you can make up any parent ID Email Address: Parent email address Please note: Parent will receive an e-mail confirmation with the direct link to CASHNet portal

and a temporary password. Once logged in, they will be able to view exactly what you’re viewing. They will not have to log

in through students self-service portal.
