Justin MoorhouseNorthern JokerFriday 13 September......................................................................Venue: The Muni Theatre, ColneDoors Open: 6.45pm Show Starts: 7.30pm Tickets: £14 (advance), £17 (on door)Seating: Unreserved Theatre Style......................................................................These days Justin’s not certain about anything apart from his uncertainty - with Brexit and what’s happening in America – and closer to home he’s starting to feel redundant as a parent. One kid is leaving home, the dog is getting older and doesn’t need much walking and the youngest kid hits thirteen and cancels the family subscription to The Beano.
On top of this, the golden age of the Northern straight white male comedian has gone the way of the dinosaurs. How will he adapt if he wants to survive? What next for this Northern Joker?...

MedeaWednesday 27 - Saturday 30 November ......................................................................Venue: The Muni Theatre, ColneDoors Open: 6.45pm Show Starts: 7.30pm Tickets: £8 (advance), £11 (on door)Seating: Unreserved Theatre Style......................................................................This new version of the classic Greek tragedy tells the story of what happens when Jason - famous for his adventures with the Argonauts - leaves his wife, Medea, for another woman.
What he doesn’t appreciate is the depth of Medea’s hurt at his betrayal, so he fails to anticipate the terrible revenge she will inflict…
With its eye on the relative power of the sexes, a play first performed two and a half millennia ago still speaks powerfully to us today.

Engulfed by an escalating identity crisis as his many and various relationships compete for his attention, Garry’s few remaining days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, sex, panic and soul-searching.
Captured live from The Old Vic in London, ‘Present Laughter’ is a giddy and surprisingly modern reection on fame, desire and loneliness.

Theatre - The Garrick presents
All in Good TimeWednesday 4 - Saturday 7 December .....................................................................Venue: The ACE Centre, NelsonDoors Open: 7pm Show Starts: 7.30pm Tickets: £12 (adult), £11 (conc), £8 (student/child).....................................................................This hilarious play, based on a radio play called `Honeymoon Postponed`, tells the story of newlyweds Arthur and Violet who encounter problems in the bedroom of his parents’ house.
Bill Naughton adapted the play for the stage in 1963 and it ended up a hit on Broadway. In 1966 it was made into a film starring John and Hayley Mills and Hywel Bennett called `The Family Way`.
Although very funny, it poignantly explores the drama of our couples dilemma and its effect on their British working class families and how they deal, or don`t deal, with the situation facing them.
