IntroductionThis installation guide specifies the correct mounting positions for all the AutoSteer brackets and hardware on the machine.
Refer to an AutoFarm Wheeled Tractor Installation Manual for full details on cable connections, AutoSteer system startup and calibration.
AttentionTighten all screws, bolts, nuts, hose connections and cable connections after final assembly of AutoSteer system on machine.
Special Requirements
The tractor must be equipped with “Power Beyond” ports before starting your AutoSteer installation. If the tractor does not have a factory installed “power beyond”, you must order and install the John Deere “power beyond” accessory kit before starting the AutoSteer installation.

1. The hydraulic oil supply for the AutoSteer valve is obtained from the “Power Beyond” system on the tractor.2. Check if the “power beyond” system is installed and available on the tractor.3. The “power beyond” system can be purchased as a kit from your local John Deere dealer and must already be
installed on the tractor before you start the AutoSteer installation.4. Locate the power beyond ports at the back left side of the tractor as shown in picture above and next page.5. Rout the three hoses (pressure/return/load sense) between the AutoSteer valve and the power beyond outlets.6. Connect the hoses to the power beyond quick couplers and the AutoSteer valve.7. Secure the hoses with cable ties away from moving parts.

Routing the “steer in” and “steer out” hoses
The four AutoSteer steering hoses (steer in and steer out) must be routed under the tractor cab between the AutoSteer valve at the rear and the leftside of the engine just ahead of the cab where the manual steering hoses are located.
34
Remove this cover on the left side ofthe tractor just in front of the cab inorder to rout the steering hoses underthe cab.

Connecting “Steer In” and “Steer Out” hoses to the tractor Steering system
Instructions:1. Open the tractor steering lines at the point where the two flexible hoses connect to the two steel lines going to the front axle.2. Connect the four AutoSteer hoses as shown above. Right steering hoses must be connected to right steering lines while
Left steering hoses must be connected to left steering lines.3. Check for oil leaks after final assembly and after tractor engine has been turned on and steered.

Connect to pressuretransducer & solenoidson AutoSteer valve
The steering cable sends electrical steering commands from the “cab box”to the main AutoSteer valve to turn the tractor wheels. Connect the cablebetween the cab box and the steering valve according to the connectoridentifications shown above. Rout the cable away from hot or movingparts and secure with cable ties.
38
Calibration and Tuning Notes
•Select “Wheeled Tractor” option during initial AutoSteer setup and calibration.
•Measure all the lever arm distances and input the values during AutoSteer setup and calibration procedure.
•If the hydraulic system is correctly installed and the pressure transducer has been calibrated, then the system should easily switch from AutoSteer Mode to Manual Steer Mode when you try to turn the steering wheel in AutoSteer mode.
