Augmented Drum Machine is a musical instrument whose capabilities have been expanded using technology to provide new forms of interaction. It is an augmented instrument where sound, robotics and led lighting come together.

Augmented Drum Machine consists of a set of transparent acrylic drums, robotic arms, led strips, MIDI

controller and a custom-made control system with open-source software (VVVV and Arduino).

Augmented Drum Machine consists of a set of "robotic arms" made with solenoids that percussion on a real

drum kit and that interpret the rhythmic sequences sent in real time by the MIDi interface and that also have

a visual feedback with LED lighting.
