Welcome!This year the graduating class of 2014 will be

visiting the historical city of Athens and visit it’s

beautiful sites and monuments.

DestinationAthens is the capital, largest

city in Greece and is one of theoldest cities in the world. It hasrich history and has manybeautiful attractions including

thefollowing: The Parthenon The Acropolis and the

Acropolis museum The National Gardens of

Athens The Temple of Hephaestus

FlightsStudents will travel on flight 763 to and from Athens, two

weeks apart. They depart Toronto on the 8th of June at5:05pm and arrive in Athens at 9:45am of the same day,gaining a day. They leave Athens on the 22nd at 2:25pm andarrive at 5:15pm of the next day, losing a day. The twoairports are the Toronto Pearson and the Athens International.

AccommodationsStudents will be staying at the Metropolitan Hotel, which includes the following:

Free Wi-Fi An outdoor pool A 24 hour restaurant with Greek and European foods A sushi and piano bar A complimentary city center shuttle

There will be 4 students to a room

ToursThroughout the trip students will participate on multiple

tours, one of them being 5 days long. Tour Greek islands (full day):

A cruise that will tour the Greek islands Aegina, Poros and Hydra.

The Acropolis and New Acropolis Walking Tour (half day):Students will visit the Metro museum, House of the Greek Parliament, the

Monument to the Unknown Soldier, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s arch, statue of

Melina Mekouri, Dionysus Theatre and sanctuary and the remaining monuments

of the acropolis.

Tours (Continued)Souvlaki cooking class Tour (couple hours):

A one hour souvlaki tour or cooking class.

Market, Ruin and Ancient Athens Small Group tour (half day):Visit the bustling market of Athens and experience the spirit and lifestyle of

the Greek. They then will visit the Monastiraki Square where there aresome attractions that will be visited. Bring money for meals and meet atdestined spot.

A Night Out in Athens Tour:Students will visit some tourist sites at night and then listen to the historical

Greek Music. Afterwards they’ll go to a tavern and have dinner.

Tours (Continued)Cape Sounion Tour:

Drive by the Athens beaches and visit the Temple of Poseidon.

5 Day Northern Greece Tour:Over the course of five days students will visit the site of Delphi, Meteora,

the archaeological site of Dion, the statue of Mount Olympus, Saint Paul’s

Bema, an old Jewish neighbourhood, Arisotle’s school, museums and monuments

of the Byzantine Empire. Hotels rooms are included.

ExcursionsStudents have the option of visiting the charming, small

Island of Spetses on a 10 hour tour and view it’s beautifulhomes. A trip to the Spetses museum is also included. Ifstudents don’t wish to go in this excursion then they’ll havea free day.

FoodThe food price in the financial database includes

snacks, a meal at the Krasopoulio restaurant, breakfastfor nine days at the hotel and the dinners at the hotel. Forsnacks students will receive a nut-free protein bar and afruit, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
