Check out our local website, www.NKAtreasurevalley.com to plan your adventure. Before registering on the ISU website, jot down the numbers of your courses to speed through the process.
Class FeesClass fees cover all upfront supplemental expenses (such as materials, rentals, admission, etc.) associated with a class. In most cases, membership and class fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be offered on a case-by-case basis. If a class with a fee is canceled, refunds will be issued automatically. You will not be charged a class fee if you are on a waitlist. If a spot opens on the waitlist, you’ll be able to pay the class fee when you register.
RemindersReminder calls or emails will be sent if you registered for a field trip, a food class, or for a class with a wait list. ISU sends out class reminders via email, so please check your junk mail folders.
Available ClassesFor $35, you’ll get access to unlimited classes — and you can choose from more than 80 class sections! Most students sign up for an average of 5-7 classes. Some classes fill up quickly, so don’t put off signing up.
WaitlistsIf the class you sign up for is full, we’ll add you to a waitlist. We will do our best to accommodate unexpectedly large enrollments by expanding class size, scheduling additional classes, and replacing cancelations with waitlisted members. If you’re interested in a class, please check back for new class selections — if possible, we will add additional sections to high-demand classes.
Class ChangesAll classes are subject to change. We might need to reschedule or move classes for a variety of reasons, such as instructor illness or last-minute venue complications. If that happens, we’ll be sure to call you beforehand to alert you. You can always check online for verification.
Cancellations If you’re unsure about whether you’ll be able to attend a class, don’t sign up — you could be taking the spot of someone who really wants to attend. Wait until your schedule is clear. If you need to drop out for any reason, let us know as soon as possible so another person from the wait list can take your place. Call 208 282-3372 (Monday to Friday only).
ParkingFree parking will be available for most classes, but please check with special venues and plan accordingly. Parking is free at all YMCA locations and ISU-Meridian on Saturday only. At AARP Idaho, parking is free up to two hours in the visitor lot. If the visitor lot is full, ample paid street/lot parking is available.
AccessibilityThe AARP Idaho office in the CW Moore Plaza is fully wheelchair accessible, but you must be able to navigate two manual doors. All of the YMCA facilities are fully accessible and many programs can accommodate people with special needs. If you have any questions about how you can participate in a YMCA class, contact Jane Hardison at jane.hardison@ymcatvidaho.org.
Idaho State University is fully accessible as well. Disabled parking is available at all locations.
