DO NOT! -anything else than fish feed to the feed silos and dosing units -do not put your fingers, hands to the dosing unit when power is on -do not stand closer than 1 m from the feeder or do not look to feeder or spreader opening when power is on -system is automatic and can start without warning -always take power off before doing any service -if you are not sure what to do please contact manufacturer or your local distributor

1 How to calibrate Arvo-Tec feeders The find out the feeding speed (=feeder calibration value) you can run, for example a 100 second test and weigh all the feed that comes out. Feeding speed is the feed amount in g / 100 s. It is very important that this is exactly correct for Control System. Normally (=using standard trout and salmon feeds) all Arvo-Tec feeders are equal (with the same type of the dosing drum) but the feeding speed depends on the feed type (size, pellet shape and ingredients). To run the test use the following procedure: -Put feed into the feeder -Run the feeder so that the feed start to come out -Run 100 s test and take all feed -Weigh the feed -Feeding speed = feed amount g / 100 s

3 How to install springs to Arvo-Tec Feeders & Pneumatic spreader If you have feeder XLR connectors supplied with the feeders, connect 24 VAC to 1 and 0 to 2, leave 3 free.

Springs are supplied and used only with 5 g drums or smaller
