About MeGreetings everyone,

I am Nazowa Chowdhury, a art lover and am presenting some of my many works to you all through this portfolio.

I am currently doing my last year at Canadian International School. Although I am aiming to become a doctor, art has always been one of my passion. It never fails to make my mood better. Art helps me clear my mind and focus better.

Title: Abstract Wednesday

Date: 30 Sept, 2020 A.D

Material(s) Used: Pencil & Scissor.

Purpose: This was my first ever abstract art. We were supposed to

chose any object from our surrounding and

create a artwork out of it.

Overview: I chose a scissor and my

expected outcome was a fish underwater.

Title: Transformation of Complicated shapes into basic Shapes.

Material(s) Used: Pencil

Purpose: Our task was to transform a complicated shape into basic shapes. Overview: I chose a picture of glasses from the internet where it looked much better was very detailed. Later, I just drew the basic shapes of the picture.

Purpose: For this classwork, we had to create a visual storyboard.

Overview: I made one titled “Money is Money.” It is about a guy, who finds a nickel on the floor and takes it even though it is dirty. He says we will never know when we need five cents, but still doesn’t give it to the shooter when he asked for only five cents.

Purpose: This was our second abstract artwork where we had to

choose a different object than the previous classwork.

Overview: I chose a bracelet and my expected outcome was a

flower.

Title: History of Art (Ancient Egypt)

Purpose: We were

assigned to

showcase ancient

Egyptian symbols

in this classwork

Overview: This symbol is known as the eye of horus. It represents protection, health, and restoration. According to Egyptian myth, Horus lost his left eye in a struggle with Seth. The eye was magically restored by Hathor, and this restoration came to symbolize the process of making whole and healing.

Title: Poster Design

Purpose: In this classwork, we were assigned to make tourism posters that represents the beauty, attraction, or landmarks of Bangladesh.Overview: I chose pictures of Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar to make my poster because I think these two places are the most beautiful places in Bangladesh and everyone needs go at least once. I also used a quote to make it for interesting.

Title: Product Design (T- shirt)

Material(s) Used: Digital Software

Purpose: Our task was to use our creative mind and make a t-shirt design related to any topic we wanted to. Overview: I chose a t-shirt that I would like to wear and then designed it with topics and designs related to lockdown.

Title: Logo Design (Kite Festival)

Date: 27 Oct, 2020 A.D.

Material(s) Used: Digital Software & Google Images

Purpose: Students were assigned to

make a logo of “Dhaka Kite Festival 2021.” We

were allowed to use the help of google to

take ideas, but had to use our own creative

mind.

Overview: I chose two background pictures from google and combined them. Then, I used a blue font for the writing to match with picture.

Title: Self Portrait Minimalist approach

Material(s) Used: Pencil

Purpose: Students main aim was to draw a self portrait, but not with so much details. We were assigned to draw our most understandable and unique features. Overview: My unique features, I would say are my short hairs and glasses which is why I tried to draw my short hair and the round glasses that I always wear.
