PRINCIPAL’S CORNER As per the letter sent home on March 30, 2012 from the
Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Steinhoff, there will be for the
next 2 years, construction taking place at our school. The
majority of the energizing renovations will take place over the summer months. It will be a transformation in terms of the
classrooms on the first and second floor of the original building
the first year, and the relocation of the main office to a more
practical area to the front of the building that will improve the overall security of the building for students and staff during the
second year. It will indeed be an exciting time for all of us.
In addition to the great news above, I thank all of our
parents/guardians of our students in grades 3-5 who recently
completed the math and reading portion of the state PSSA testing. This was our best year ever for attendance during this
testing window. Our attendance rate for that 6 day period was
99% for the 221 students who were tested. Wow!
Our students continue to bring home awards from a
number of contests including, The American Legion Auxilary
Unit 926 Essay Program – First Place, Thomas Christaldi (5th
grade), First Place, Sean Guinan (4
th grade) and Second Place,
Jacob Strehle (4th
grade). In addition, in the county-wide
Passport to History contest, the following students will be
honored by the Delaware County Council at the Media Courthouse in April – Victoria Carcillo, Sean Guinan, Neeli
Thakkar and Anthony Dignazio.
