Anzac Day the 25th of April is the most important occasion in the year. It marks the memory that so many Australian and New Zealand soldiers died.

When the first world war broke out in 1914 Australia had been a federal commonwealth for only 14years only. The new national government was eager to establish its reputation among the nations of the world. In 1915 the Australians and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the allied expedition. The creation of Anzac Day is important. The word Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

.Australians celebrate Anzac Day with a Dawn service every year about 6.00o’clock in the morning and a national commemoration on the 25th of April.
The Anzac Ode is “They shall not grow old, As we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them. Nor the years condemn, At the going down of he sun in the morning we will remember them”.
