bMw 530d gran turIsMo 8 sPeed auto revIew
BMW are the masters of picking niche
markets and building cars for them.
The 530d Gran Turismo almost personifies
that strategy. It probably qualifies as the
world’s biggest coupe’ style hatchback. It is
a strange and yet stylish looking beast with
huge external proportions, heaps of room for
four adults and yet a tiny boot area. Although
I loved it I am still left wondering… Why?

suzukI’s brIllIant new kIzashI Xl & Xls revIew
Suzuki have entered the mid size
sedan market with a thunderous
bang. The Kizashi is beautifully
styled, full of features, has a quality
feel throughout and has driving
dynamics more akin to a Mazda
6 or BMW 3 series. Its not all roses
however, I find out as I put it
through its paces.

bMw 320d eXeCutIve sedan revIewThe 3 series BMW has been one
of the great successes of the
motoring industry and that is not
about to change with the current
3 Series. The current generation
was launched in 2006 and has a
few more years in it before it is due
a complete overhaul for what will
be the sixth generation of a car
launched 35 years ago.
honda Crv sPort 5 sPeed auto revIewHonda’s CR-V is one of the
Australia’s favourite 4x4s, at this
time they seem to be coming
under ever closer scrutiny by
purchasers with offers from
Nissan X-Trail, Subaru Forester,
Hyundai ix35, Kia Sportage and
Toyota RAV4 all chasing your
hard earned.

renault ClIo sPort 200 CuP troPhée revIewTHandling is the forte of any hot
hatch and the Clio is no exception.
Throw the Clio into a corner and it
grips and grips, feeling surefooted
and nimble all the while. There’s
virtually no body roll and the taut
chassis means it deals easily with
quick changes of direction.
honda CIvIC tyPe r 2.0l 6 sPd Manual revIew If you’re on a back road for a quick
blast, the Civic Type-R is immense
fun and the short-shifting and precise
six-speed manual gearbox makes it
easy to keep the engine at higher revs
allowing you to access its power and
listen to the exhaust echo against the
valley as you open the throttle out of
the apex after hitting a perfect gear
change on the downshift.

Peugeot 308 CC s 1.6l twIn sCroll turbo 6 sPeed auto revIew
One drive of the 308CC could frustrate
you with its French idiosyncrasies,
however take a second drive and
those little annoying features fade as
the pleasure of top down motoring
takes over. It has a luxurious presence
that is hard to describe but it is there.
The more I drove the more I liked it.

land rover Freelander 2 td4 hse revIewThe Land Rover Freelander 2 TD 4
HSE is probably our favourite AWD
SUV as it is designed to be more
than a show SUV and has the
brilliant Terrain response system,
which makes AWD simple. It
absolutely masters corrugated dirt
roads, is luxurious and frugal and
drives beautifully for an SUV. Oh an
by the way it will go many places
more fancied 4WD’s will go.
toyota rav 4 2wd less Is More revIewThe 2010 Toyota RAV4 2WD has
broadened the appeal of its RAV4
range by launching two-wheel drive
(2WD) variants that save customers
money and fuel. The new RAV4
models, are priced $3,000 below
their equivalent all-wheel drive
models and are cheaper to run
then their AWD brothers.

toyota land-CruIser 70 serIes workMate real 4wd For real Men revIew
JeeP wrangler rubICon For the serIous oFF road drIver revIewThere really is no other vehicle like
a Wrangler. To this day, the Jeep
Wrangler continues to be the ultimate
off-road icon. Yes, they’re fun to drive,
they are supposed to be a small,
square vehicle with only two seats,
right? Well no, enter the Jeep Wrangler
Unlimited Rubicon, the dedicated
“Off-road” package.
Toyota’s legendary 70 Series Landcruiser
has built an enviable reputation for
toughness that dates back to the days
of the Snowy River Scheme. It has
always been the real 4wd for real men
and now some might argue that it has
softened with the introduction of a
4-door wagon version. Let me tell, you it
is just as rough and ready as always.

The opportunity finally came to hitch
the car trailer up and see what Benny
could do. Settling into my towing mode
it soon became obvious that Benny will
make an accomplished tow vehicle. He
is big enough to take what the average
person will ask of him and 2000kg is
enough for most people and on par
with most others in his class.

looking vehicle and has cosmetic
improvements both inside and out.

CItroen ds3 has arrIved In australIa newsSome would call its design ugly, many
would call it pushing the boundaries, I
however call it funky. The new Citroen

talking about it. No DS3 need ever be
the same, thanks to the virtually infinite
array of different option combinations
available. Now where have I heard that
before.. oh yes the Kia Soul and MINI.
