5. The one-way clutch can then be removed from the T A drive output gear by removing the seal ring. The TA drive output with ball bearing and spring loaded lubrication baffle can also be removed from the TA and IPTO carrier.
6. Use C-clamps (1) to compress the lock-up clutch springs and remove the large snap ring (2). Lift the lock up clutch plates out of the TA lock up carrier. Remove the three 7/16 inch bolts and remove the direct drive back plate and clutches. Remove the three 5/16 inch cap screws and remove the T A lock-up assembly.
NOTE: The piston carrier is a "slip" fit on the clutch shaft and if the carrier is removed, it must be properly timed to align the fluid supply holes in the shaft and carrier.

DIFFERENTIAL LOCK
The differential lock is hydraulically actuated and the differential is locked when the operator holds the control valve in the "down" position. As soon as the operator releases the control valve the differential lock is released.
GSS-1431 K (Rev. No.1) 10-22
The valve may be moved to the engaged position at any time without regard as to the forward or reverse motion or speed of the tractor. The same is true of releasing the lock.
The differential lock is designed to give maximum traction when rear wheel slippage is encountered. It is not intended for continuous use or when slippage is not a problem and therefore the unit is "unlocked" whenever the control valve is released.
The control valve for the differential lock receives fluid from the hydraulic brake supply tube. The differential lock pressure for gear drive tractors is 235 to 280 psi. The pressure for hydrostatic drive tractors is limited to 240 to 300 psi by a pressure reducing valve (brake pressure is 400 psi).

Procedure for Checking Auxiliary Valve Unlatching Pressure For 1466 and 1468 Tractors (late production)
NOTE· Run a minimum of three (3) checks with the Flo-Rater. · 1. Flo-Rater attached at pump flange. 2. Engine at rated speed. 3. Valve the bolt torque at 20-25 lbs. 4. Position control lever out of run range on hitch quadrant. 5. Turn the Flo-Rater handle to restrict the flow.
