Annotations

Annotation Mode allows adding colored markers with text, like sticky notes, to components. Annotations can include “sketches” –arrows and circles. They are only visible in Author mode.

1 Using the sites console, navigate to the site of your institution.2 Select the page and open it for edit.

3 Click the Annotation Toggle icon to open Annotation Mode.

4 The display will change so that you can add annotations.

5 Click the icon, in the upper left corner to add an annotation. Move the mouse to the text paragraph and click to drop theannotation.

*Notice that there is a little delete icon that you can use to delete the annotation.

6 Enter some text and choose the color that you would like. Clickanywhere to close the annotation dialog.

7 Click on the Annotation to open the dialog. Click on the pen to enable thedrawing tool and draw anarrow to any sentencethat interests you.

8 Click on the ‘X’ in the upper right-hand corner to exit AnnotationMode.

The annotation will disappear from view, but the AnnotationMode Toggle displays the number of existing annotations. Just enter Annotation Mode to see the annotations.

Note: Annotations are only seen in Author mode. They are alsoassociated with the version, so if you

qplace an annotationqcreate a versionqdelete the annotationqrevert to the previous version

the annotation will come back with the reverted version.
