How United Services
QATAR COOL
The project involved working directly with the client & close liaison with individual property developers & the Public Works Authority to install energy transfer stations & plate heat exchangers, chilled water pipe work & associatedPLC controls. The works were carried out over a number of geographically diverse sites within West Bay and the Pearl Qatar development.
HUS carried out the following services :Procurement & factory testing of PHE’sInstallation of large diameter pre & post insulated chilled water pipe work Installation & commissioning of PHE’s & associated controlsHot tapping of live chilled water mains including road closures & excavations where required.
Benefits: By carrying out hot tapping & close client liaison enabled the installations to be carried out to new buildings without isolation or disrupting chilled water supplies to neighbouringbuildings or other customers connected to the network.
AchievementsHUS has been nominated as MEP contractor of choice by client
NEW HSBC HEADQUARTERS BUILDING
The project involved a fast track fit out of an existing building with a phased handover to enable client’s staff to berelocated on a staged basis from their existing building which was being closed.
The project was carried out directly for the client on a cost plus basis. Due to the nature of the building a high qualityfinish was required throughout with strong interfaces with specialist contractors for security, CCTV & Access Control

Benefits: Based on the successful completion of the project HUS were awarded the MEPfit out of a new branch, HSBC’s first Islamic branch in the region outsideKSA which was completed in just 87 days. HUS were the recipient of an appreciation award from the client for this project. This in turn led to HUSbeing awarded the FM contract for this branch including MEP hard maintenance, 24 hour cleaning & fire alarm services .
Doha College is one of the oldest British curriculum schools in Qatar providing a world class education for 1200 students, between the ages of 3 and 18, who represent over 50 nationalities.
This was the first full FM contract to be awarded to HUS. Following a successful mobilization in July 2011 we have continued to support Doha College both strategically and operationally. HOW United Services have been instrumental in not only delivering a complete FM solution we have also been able to add further value by providing project management on a planned and a reactive basis.
We have established a 24 hour help desk that is able to track requests and provide valuable management information thus continuously improving our service provision.Sustainability and environmental considerations form a large element of the works undertaken, with the objective of providing long‐term solutions that provide value for money.
