• The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines analogous as : Showing an analogy or a likeness that permits one to draw an analogy.

An example would be the following sentence- “ Bad mouthing your sister is analogous to slapping her in

the face- it’s just as bad”

Some synonyms to analogous would be: Alike, comparable, resembling, similar.

How does this relate to color?

• Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other or within a 90 degree angle on the color wheel. They usually match well and create serene and comfortable designs.

eye.
