SOMETHING ABOUT NTPC Ltd.

First plant was established in 1975 at Singrauli (U.P.) by government of India with 100% ownership.

Current total generating capacity by NTPC is 36,751MW.

At present, NTPC has –

Coal based stations - 16

Gas/Fuel based stations - 07

Coal/Fuel stations (under JV ) - 06

It is the sixth largest thermal power company in the world.

It is the second most efficient company in the world and first in India.

NTPC has been crowned as “MAHARATNA” company in 2010.

On 26th June 2013, NTPC has been rewarded by the tag “The best company in India to work for”.

NTPC is embarked on plans to generate 75,000 MW by 2017.

AURAIYA GAS POWER STATION(AuGPS)

It was approved on 21st Sept. 1989 with a total cost of project of Rs. 678.77 crores .

It is situated in Dibiyapur, Auraiya.

It has 4 GT’s which were commissioned in 1989 while 4 WHRB and 2 ST’s were commissioned in1990.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF AuGPS

AuGPS is the India’s first combined cycle power plant.

Only AuGPS has 3 MW EGT provided by Mitsubishi Power Corporation Ltd., Japan.

In July 2012, the plant has got appreciation by the government of India for starting the generation very first after the grid failure.

THANK YOU
