ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH AS

TRUTH ALWAYS WINS

Nageswar Rao. A Teacher of English.

Good Morning Rahul! How are you?

I am fine thank you! Did you complete your homework.

No, I didn’t. Yesterday I went to see my grand parents. I came late in the evening.

Then, you should have come to my home and copied from my copy.

No, I can’t do that. My father says copying from others is a bad habit. Seeing grand parents is a good thing hence our madam would understand and excuse me.

Yes, you are right. Please excuse me for giving you a wrong idea.

Today we learn the following things:

We use past tense of the verb when we want to tell a past event.

For a negative statement, we use the following structure:Subject + did not + V1 + …..

For interrogatives in simple past tense we use the structure:

Did + Subject + V1 + . . . . ? (for positive interrogatives)

Didn’t + Subject + V1 + . . . ? (for negative interrogatives)

Last but not the least; we should learn to tell the fact to our teachers. Always truth wins.
