AHA eCard Ordering How-To

The Website
1. Go to the website
2. Click on the link that matches the course taught – Basic or Advanced
eCard Request Links
There are three links for the Basic and Advanced cards designated with a 1, 2, and 3. You will need to rotate through the links – start with 1, then for the next class use 2, then 3, and then go back to 1 and repeat the sequence.
Order eCards
3. Click on Order eCards

Lead Instructor Information 4. Enter your Name and Email & click Next
5. Enter your Instructor ID #, Company, Address, and Phone
Course Information 6. Enter the course information
Selecting “Yes” will give you a text box to enter Assisting Instructors names and ID.
If the course has optional modules, the options will appear after selecting the course.
Paperwork to upload: Summative course evaluation page Online course completion certificate (if conducting a skills verification)
Saving & Returning to Form
You can save the form at any time and return to complete entering the information and submitting.
Click Save at the bottom of the form.
To return to the form –
Go to the website
Click on the appropriate Basic or Advanced link
Click on Order eCards
Enter your name and email
You will be asked if you want to continue using your saved information
Selecting Yes and clicking Next will return you to the saved form
Student Information
7. Click Add Guest to enter the individual student information
8. Enter the Name, Email, and Phone of the first student
*It is best practice to have the student enter this information to avoid errors.
9. Click Save and Add to continue entering the information for all students in the class
When all student information has been entered, click Save.
When the form is complete…
10. Click Save and Next
Summary Page
11. Review all the information for accuracy
If there is an error, click Edit and make the correction.
To view each student’s information, click on their name.
When all the information is correct, click Next.
Submit Payment
Don’t let the words Agenda Items, Event Registration, or Guest confuse you. This is verbiage of the system we use that cannot be changed. Each Guest is a student, and you will see the cost of the card associated with each student.

13. Review the Terms and Conditions
14. Check the box to represent your electronic signature
15. Click Finish
Confirmation Page
You can Email or Print this page for your records. An email will be automatically sent to the Lead Instructor’s email address.
Note: Order Summaries will show all orders placed under this specific eCard request link. In this example I am using Heartsaver & BLS eCards – 1. The confirmation email will include a detailed invoice.

Don’t let the words Event Registration or Registration Information confuse you. This is verbiage of the system we use that cannot be changed.
As you can see from the Registration Information, I am the Lead Instructor & had 2 students in my class. The invoice reflects the cost of the 2 cards at $8/card for a total of $16. The Event Registration costing $0 is a system requirement that is connected to the Lead Instructor Information but at no cost.
Multiple Invoices in Email Similar to how Order Summaries on the Confirmation Page shows all orders placed under this specific eCard request link (Example: Heartsaver & BLS eCards – 1), the confirmation email will show a detailed invoice of each order too.
The Order Date is the date the information was submitted, not the date of the course which can be found in the Registration Information section of the email. Submitting the order the same day as the class will make tracking easier & will get the students their cards sooner.
Paperwork Received Email

After your paperwork is downloaded from the electronic system, you will receive this email.
It is best practice to submit your paperwork immediately following course completion. This will allow for timely processing, as we want to get students their cards within two weeks.
AHA eCard Email
Once the course paperwork is processed and eCards are sent, the students will receive an email from the American Heart Association.

Students will need to follow the link in this email to claim their eCard. The eCard can be printed and/or saved as a PDF.
