Fly to JohannesburgEgoli – City of Gold

It’s a long, usually overnight flight, from Europe to South Africa so we recommend a direct non-stop flight. Flight costs are not included in the quotation and should be added to the total.

Day 1 – Welcome to South Africa

• You will be met by your guide at Oliver Tambo airport and travel north-east in an air-conditioned vehicle through the towns of Middelburg, Dullstroom and Origstad arriving in time to explore the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest before dinner and a welcome bed.

• After a leisurely breakfast your guide will take you on a scenic route to a Big 5 private game reserve where you will have the option to go on an evening game drive in an open vehicle before a gourmet dinner in your luxury lodge.

Day 2 – Relax! You’re in the bush.

Day 3 – Go wild on safari

• Soak up the sounds, smells and sights of ancient Africa. Experience the exhilaration of close encounters with wild game on guided walks and game drives or lounge around your lodge pool beneath the wide African sky.

Day 4 – Spend another day in Paradise

• Indulge in gourmet dinners and luxurious relaxation choosing from the various uniquely African activities on offer while wallowing in the pampering and first class service of your private Game Lodge

Day 5 – Overnight in the Kruger

• A few hours’ drive with your guide takes you to South Africa’s largest bush destination in the famous Greater Kruger National Park where you will spend the rest of the day and the night.

Day 6 – The Kingdom of Swaziland

• Depart after an early breakfast for a drive across the South African border to your lodgings in Swaziland, breaking the journey with a visit to a recycled glass factory.

Day 7 – Journey into Zululand

• Browse a Swazi market and visit a candle factory before heading for your next destination in Zululand Game Reserve where you will spend another night in the luxury of a private game lodge with new opportunities for game viewing.

Day 8 – From Safari to Beach

• Enjoy a cruise on Lake St Lucia, home to hippos, bird life and many of Africa’s wild species, after which your guide will take you to your lodgings

on the north coast of the Sunshine City of Durban.

Days 9,10,11&12 – On the Beach

• Soak up the sun and revel in the warmth of the Indian ocean at your leisure. Your accommodation includes breakfast, giving you the chance to sample fare from any restaurant you choose. A hire car is made available for your use for this period.

Day 13 – Head for the mountains• Your guide will collect you at your beach

lodgings at 8 am for a scenic, leisurely drive into the Drakensburg mountains where you will spend your last night in Africa at a lodge in the Royal National Park.

Day 14 – Homeward Bound

• Wake up in the magical surroundings of the Drakensburg mountains and perhaps even indulge in a short hike before the 4 hour journey to the airport for your homeward flight.
