MAJOR PROJECTS COMPLETED:
1. ALLISON TRANSMISSIONS:
Allison Transmission intended to setup a manufacturing facility for making automatic transmissions
for the Indian market as well as for exports.
The facility spread over 20 Acres has been located so as to prevent adjacency conflicts with its
expansion. Utility lines inclusive of Methanol have been designed and integrated in to the building
for operation of the furnaces. The building has been well ventilated and adequately lit with natural
lighting. Rain water harvesting structures are also part of the site.

2. AMERICAN AXLE MANUFACTURING:
This facility for AAM was a time bound project. This facility supplied axles to Daimler who had
commenced construction of their facility months ago. Daimler had challenged that this facility of
AAM could not be completed under the stipulated time.
It was on the back of this that A&E took up this job. The facility was constructed in under 9 months
with all utilities up and operational in 10 months. The greatest challenge under the circumstances
was not the speed but more to maintain the quality of work which in this case was very high without
compromising the speed. With a dedicated team at site and office, we were able to pull of this
facility construction to the Clients expectation.

cater to the automotive companies here and also to have a geographical spread. The site was a 128
Acres in extent.
Towards this end, A&E were appointed as Architects for the Phase 1 of their works which included
the buildings and site infrastructure. Subsequent to this Apollo Tyres engaged us for Phase 2 and
Phase 3 of their project as well. We are currently implementing their Captive Power Plant.

This has therefore cemented our position as a technically sound firm for this nature of business.
This facility set up on a 100 Acre site just outside of Chennai, is technologically the most advanced
plant set up by JK Tyres till date. The production of tyres in this facility will propel JK Tyres into the
second position in the tyre industry in India.

6. EMMAY LOGISTICS INDIA:
LuLu, a prominent name in the hypermarket business in the Middle East opened their first retail
store in India in Kochi at their mall. To support this hypermarket, it was required to have a
warehousing facility not far away from the mall. A site of 28 Acres was chosen about 15 km from the
mall in a location called Aluva.
The site constitutes five buildings out of which LuLu occupies a building with the reminder being let
out as a readymade space. LuLus warehouse has a cold room for meat, fruits and vegetables, air-
conditioning for chocolates and other perishables and a normal racking area for general
warehousing. The site and buildings have been designed with state of art utilities making this a
world class project equivalent to many of LuLus buildings in the Middle East.
Scope: Project Consultancy & Project Management
Design Date: 2013
Area: 7,50,000 sq.ft
7. REDINGTON (I) LTD.
The facility for Redington was unique to A&E as it was a learning exercise on the design of Super Flat
floors. The equipment supplier BT wanted the floors to be laid to FM2 standards for smooth
operation of the VNA Equipment. This facility boasts of having VNA equipment as well as a shelving
area for smaller storage. Necessary dock levellers have been provided to cater to trucks of various
sizes. Necessary residential spaces have also been planned considering the fact that the facility is far
out of town. Considering the high value of goods in the warehouse, safety systems like sprinklers,
CCTV & Burglar Alarms have been provided.

projects for them across India. Depicted herein is their project at Sriperumbudur which
manufactures abrasive discs. This is a state of art facility which maximizes usage of daylight by as
much as 40% throughout the day thereby reducing dependency on artificial lighting. It also uses
composite construction wherein concrete columns are built up to eaves level & portal frames of
PEB get supported on them.

9. KUBS SAFETY LOCKS:
KUBS, which stands for Keep Ur Belongings Safe is a company that manufactures safety locks and
systems for diverse applications. The design of the building is in lines with their corporate branding
while features like energy efficiency, water conservation has been embodied into the design itself.
The fact that this site has a double side frontage, the office building was also given a "Wrap Around"
detail to enhance its presence.
Complete with a fully backed up Diesel Generator, this facility once completed will be the best
facility that KUBS has built till date.

10. ZAHORANSKY, COIMBATORE:
Zahoransky, a world leader and specialist in mould making for the toothbrush industry set up their
manufacturing facility in Coimbatore. It was decided to set up this facility with a LEED Silver Rating.
Consequently the design was considered keeping the central theme of energy efficiency. The
manufacturing building maintains comfort inside by means of louvered windows, a ridge monitor
with exhaust hot air and mechanical fans to maintain circulation. The admin building is an annexe to
the manufacturing. This building is centrally cooled by means of energy efficient chillers. A
functional faade makes the building look contemporary. We have utilised only about 15% of the
site for the buildings. The expansion will occupy another 10% of the site space. This leaves about
75% of the site as landscaped all the time. A solar farm generates about 30kw of power which is
used in the office. Other green features include harvesting of rain water, reuse of water from the
STP and charging points for battery operated vehicles.
This building has received certification as India's Highest Rated Platinum building as of 2013, a
monumental achievement that has made us proud.

11. BANDRA KURLA CONVENTION CENTRE, MUMBAI:
Within the highly sought commercial district of Mumbai, the Bandra Kurla Complex is the first
business center built specifically to assist in the expansion and future growth of offices and
economic activities.
The design of the exhibition center is progressive and modern, with the urban feel of a shopping
center fused with the spacious dimensions and minimalist feel of a warehouse. Fluid and geometric
design elements on the outside of the building are meant to engage and invite visitors inside; vivid
bits of colour set against a steel-coloured exterior and interior perpetually draw the eye.

Located at the southwest portion of downtown New Delhi, the airport is situated on 5100 acres of
land.
The proposed design for the modernization and restructuring of the airport calls for a four phase
construction plan to be completed over the next 20 years. Along with the addition of 1.2 million
square feet and two more runways, there will be gates to accommodate 76 aircraft for both
domestic and international traffic and parking for 8000 cars. The public side of the airport includes
an underground train station connecting to all local rail lines, a hotel, retail outlets, ticketing etc.

For both Phase 1 & Phase 2, A&E was engaged as the design consultants comprising of the entire
package from building design to MEP. Both Phases of the building are completely air-conditioned.
While Phase 1 is a manufacturing facility, Phase 2 is a Logistics Hub to support the manufacturing
facility. Apart from the main buildings, the project also involved design of roads, drains, buildings for
