Adapting Udaan Approach in Operationalising Special Training

Free & compulsory education for every child in a neighbourhood school till completion of elementary education
It makes provisions for a non-admitted child to be admitted to an age appropriate class
It provides for development of curriculum in consonance with the values enshrined in the Constitution Justice, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity

KEY LEARNINGS.....
The approaches used in Udaan found relevance in different marginalised settings
The approaches were relevant because it rested on the universal value of equity and appreciation of the diversity that existed.
The processes designed were reflective, which made contextualisation easily possible
There was an organic linkage built between the child and other stake holders
